New Horizons – Luz De Las Olas

(Light Of The Waves)

I did not want to paint a place, but a feeling.
A horizon that is not only in the distance, but also inside. The waves represent movement and change, the act of continuing, of beginning again and again. The light in this work is, for me, hope, direction, and warmth.

I work intuitively and allow colors and lines to meet each other the way waves do they collide, flow together, disappear, and return. Across the four panels, one movement continues, as if the work is breathing and keeps flowing.

This series, New Horizons, is for me about new directions. About that moment when you do not know exactly what is coming, but you feel that you have to move forward. That is the moment I wanted to capture in color and movement.

I hope that the viewer can find their own horizon in this work.
